Barbara K. St. Pierre, 88, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday after a long illness. Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Doris (Browning) Reynolds. She was the wife of the late Hector (Barney) St. Pierre. They were married for almost 50 years, when he passed away in 2001.
Barbara was the loving mother of her two children. The late Steven St. Pierre of Wickford, RI and the late Cheryl (St. Pierre) Sullivan of Cumberland, RI. Barbara was the oldest of her siblings. She was the sister of the late Carl Reynolds of Pawtucket, the late Robert (Brud) Reynolds of Central Falls and the late John Reynolds of Pawtucket.
Barbara was born on July 7th, 1934 in Central Falls, R.I. where she resided for 58 years, before moving to Cumberland in 1992. Barbara worked at Paramount Cards for many years, before her early retirement. She also worked part time as a lunch aid at Ashton Elementary School in Cumberland. Barbara enjoyed traveling, dining out, going to the movies with her son, playing poker, shopping, playing penny slots at the casino with her daughter and spending time with her family. Barbara was the matriarch of her family. She was always there to give advice or offer her help in any way that she could. She also enjoyed entertaining. She loved gathering her entire family together. Whether it was a day long trip to Quaddack pond, a backyard barbecue or her famous holiday buffet, she made sure that we were all together, we were all happy and we were all very well fed. She kept her family close at all times. If you knew Barbara, you loved Barbara. She was a proud woman who was always well-dressed and well groomed.
